This is the original Maple Grove Amish schoolhouse which was moved onto the site from a few miles away.

We recently went here for a field trip, and it was fabulous.  There are many old buildings to tour and interesting things to see and do. 

This is an adjustable hay protector.

In the fall, some schoolhouses have messages written in the fence with leaves. 

 

A Quaint Schoolhouse

 Because I am a teacher, and because I love antiquity, I am always attracted to old schoolhouses.  Someday I hope to live in one.
